Due to the location of the hotel certain rooms may be subject to noise from the bars in close proximity to the hotel.
The hotel does not have a car park. Alternative parking at a charge, is available at the adjacent King Edward Court multi storey car park.
This is a city centre hotel and due to its location there is no drop off point for guests or luggage.
All-you-can-eat continental breakfast buffet gives you the choice of muffins, croissants, bagels, toast, kelloggs cereal and yoghurt as well as hot drinks and juice - for the perfect kick-start to the day. Help yourself as many times as you like for just £7.50 and kids eat abs olutely free.
As ever the good bits first:
-Conveniently located to get around Windsor.
-Breakfast buffet wasn't actually that bad!
Now for the bad:
-Noisy at weekends DONT EXPECT ANY SLEEP TILL THE NEARBY CLUBS AND BARS KICKOUT AFTER 2AM. YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD!
-Expensive for the standard of hotel.
-Check-in gets very busy.
-The rooms have no air-con or even a fan, i'm glad i didn't stay in the summer. Openning a window would not have not been an option with the nearby noise.
-For a newly purpose built hotel it's already showing alarming signs of wear and tear.
-They have NO left luggage room, not very helpfull in a tourist town. When i enquired about leaving some bags the receptionist said " that they couldn't do this due to the Hotels proximity to Windsor Castle"! Fellow advisors me be interested to know I worked in a hotel directly opposite Windsor Castle for many years and that certainly wasn't hotel practice there.
The Bottom line: Wouldn't stay again. It may be a basic hotel but it certainly isn't priced accordingly. Avoid. Oct 2009
